Detailed information
Access points
In today's digital age, a fast and stable internet connection is an absolute necessity. Although most users still rely on Ethernet cables and traditional Wi-Fi routers, these solutions have their limitations, and therefore Access Points have become increasingly popular, especially in corporate environments.
An Access Point is a device used to create or extend a wireless Wi-Fi network, and thus is subject to its generations (Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7) and offers transmission speeds reaching up to tens of thousands of megabits per second (Mbps). Powering an AP can be done with an external adapter, but modern models often support the more convenient PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology, which allows powering through an Ethernet cable.
Mesh
A great advantage of Access Points is the ability to create so-called mesh networks. By placing several Access Points in different parts of a building, a unified wireless network is created that covers the entire space without dead zones and offers a stable connection. Mesh networks are an ideal solution for large buildings, offices, or homes with complex architecture, where traditional solutions may not be sufficient or suitable.
