DVD ROM drives can be added to the vast majority of Supermicro servers, but there are a few basic rules to keep in mind. With most rackmount chassis, we have to select a slim DVD drive so that it fits directly into the pre-prepared frame, here there are slight differences in size between the drive manufacturers, which will cause it not to fit optimally into the frame.
