Today, the market is dominated by two companies - Intel and AMD. Intel offers an extensive catalog of processors tested for years in every environment, from basic Intel Atoms to powerful Xeon processors suitable for multiprocessor systems. AMD is betting on the market with its AMD Epyc, which is primarily designed for systems with high core loads, with flagship models of this series reaching up to 192 cores per processor. With the new era, however, new players are also coming and companies like NVIDIA and Ampere are starting to make their mark on the market. Ampere develops its chips purely using the ARM architecture and, like AMD, excels in systems with high core demands. Top models operate with more than 100 cores with the benefit of low power consumption. NVIDIA complements its already extensive ecosystem with its Grace CPU and is designed for their new type of data center with powerful data processing and the lowest possible power consumption.
